This design draws inspiration from wind and movement, incorporating calligraphic flourishes by Arthur Zaner, one of the great teachers of the “Golden Age of Ornamental Penmanship” (ca. 1875–1915).
At the center is a bird in flight, shaped from Hebrew words, carrying the first line of Birkhot Hashahar:
Blessed are You, our God, sovereign of time and space, Who enables the bird to distinguish day from night.
